It’s strangely apt to be completing this ritualistic 24-from-24 list on the last day of the year. A slow and quiet New Year’s Eve, for a change.
24 Lessons from 2024 🌸🌿♥️
Do not make an enemy of grief. You can’t outrun it.
Visit friends (and their cats) more often. Step out of your bubble.
Memories
maywill fade. Write more.Visit parks and gardens more often. Spend time under the shade of trees.
Adulting is overrated. Nurture your inner child.
Blue is the deepest colour. Look for it in the sky, water and in cyanotypes.
Resilience isn’t enough. Embrace the anti-fragility.
Make more zines. They feed your soul.
Mobile games are annoyingly addictive. DO. NOT. ENGAGE.
Love, self-awareness and kindness grow with time and practice. Level up!
Spend time learning something new. Anything that brings you back to your intrinsic curiosity.
Letting go is hard, but the only way to keep moving forward.
In moments of conflict, disengage, process your feelings and then respond.
You are ready for whatever’s coming next.
Question your belief systems and personal narrative from time to time, to see if they still hold true. Evolve consciously.
ADHD and temperature hypersensitivity is real. Protect yourself from heatstroke and dehydration, especially in summer.
Test the waters first, then dive in.
A tree is a tree is a tree.
Continue not to pluck flowers. Forager for life.
Allow yourself the luxury of leisure. Make time to do nothing.
Epsom salt + warm water foot soaks are life-changing.
