#365/1 year of The Alipore Post :)
I'll Be Your Mirror by Lou Reed
I'll be your mirror
Reflect what you are, in case you don't know
I'll be the wind, the rain and the sunset
The light on your door to show that you're home
When you think the night has seen your mind
That inside you're twisted and unkind
Let me stand to show that you are blind
Please put down your hands 'cause I see you
I find it hard to believe you don't know
The beauty you are
But if you don't let me be your eyes
A hand to your darkness, so you won't be afraid
When you think the night has seen your mind
That inside you're twisted and unkind
Let me stand to show that you are blind
Please put down your hands 'cause I see you

One year ago, I began a little experiment called The Alipore Post - a simple newsletter to share art, poetry, music and interesting links that I discovered during my time on the Internet. I never imagined seeing it take its own shape the way it has in the past 365 days. But well, here I am, sending more people than I could have imagined this newsletter.
I've often been asked why I'm doing this or what I get out of it. Honestly, I'm not too sure. But what I do know is that it has helped me in more ways than one, be it in the form of having an outlet, or having the best possible addition to an otherwise uninspiring routine, or just the satisfaction I get from receiving replies or sometimes letters from a subscribers.
Either way, thank you for being a part of this journey :) And for letting me in.
Oh, also, there's a Facebook page that you could check out sometime. And if you know like-minded people who who think would enjoy the kind of things I share, do ask them to subscribe here.
That's all from my end. Happy Birthday to me! :D
Love,
Rohini/The Alipore Post
