The Owl and the Pussy-Cat by Literary Starbucks
I
The Owl and the Pussy-cat drank some tea
In a beautiful pea-green mug,
They added some honey, and paid plenty of money,
For a cappuccino to chug.
The Owl looked up to the stars above,
And sang to a small guitar,
“O lovely Coffee! O Coffee, my love,
What a beautiful Coffee you are,
You are,
You are!
What a beautiful Coffee you are!”
II
Pussy said to the barista, “What an elegant vista!
These coffees lines up in a row!
O please let us order! We’re here on the border:
‘Twixt coffee and eternal woe”
They sailed away, for a year and a day,
To the land where the coffee bean grows
And there in a wood a barista stood
With a ring at the end of his nose,
His nose,
His nose,
With a ring at the end of his nose.
III
“Dear Sir, are you willing to sell for one shilling
Your beans?” Said the barista, “I will.”
So they took them away, and ground them next day
With the artisanal grinder on the hill.
They dined on a doughnut, and ate a scone cut
With the business end of a runcible spoon;
And hand in hand, on the edge of the sand,
They drank lattes by the light of the moon,
The moon,
The moon, They drank lattes by the light of the moon. Recommended listening: O Vento - Los Hermanos

(I'm back to boring ol' Calcutta after a lovely trip to Arunachal Pradesh and Kaziranga, where I've been pulling jeeps out of the river, angling despite being vegetarian, and spotting unicorns. Thanks to Nicholas, who was in charge of sending out The Alipore Post while I was away, I've travelled to a lot more places and had experiences I can only dream of! :)
Oh well. Here's to adventure, of every shape and size imaginable!)
