Poem For My Love by June Jordan
How do we come to be here next to each other
in the night
Where are the stars that show us to our love
inevitable
Outside the leaves flame usual in darkness
and the rain
falls cool and blessed on the holy flesh
the black men waiting on the corner for
a womanly mirage
I am amazed by peace
It is this possibility of you
asleep
and breathing in the quiet air Art by F. Scott Hess

(I'm extremely excited to share the first poster for The Alipore Post Offline, an event taking place at The Courtyard House, Bangalore on September 17th and 18th. Books everywhere, poetry under trees, an art gallery, screenings, lovely music, delicious food, puppies to cuddle, interesting workshops, and more!
The poster has been made by the wonderful Sreejita Biswas, who runs StripTease, a fantastic online magazine about comics and graphic novels. She's also going to be doing a workshop on making fiction comics at the event! Thank you, Solo! :)
In other news, the event also has a GIF, and a gorgeous one at that. Thank you for this beauty, Soniya Bhase. Follow Soniya on Instagram here.
Have a good weekend, folks! :D)
