Hello!
As some of you may know, I'm hosting The Alipore Post Online this Saturday, March 21st, from 9am to 10pm. With the COVID-19 scare keeping most of the world at home and social distancing amplifying the feeling of isolation, this online festival that intentionally coincides with World Poetry Day, is aimed to inspire people from the safety of one’s home.
The idea is to create an online space for artists, poets, musicians, chefs, photographers and all of you doing interesting things in your own field, to engage with the creative community while we’re all collectively experiencing shutdown mode.
How it works: 32 amazing creative individuals from across different parts of India and the world will be logging in throughout the day from @thealiporepost Instagram account at a specific time slot, and share their stories and skills with viewers everywhere. You, the viewer, can just click the Live button, and watch the talks, performances and demonstrations all day long! Use this opportunity to comment, ask questions, and engage with the speakers whenever you like. :)
I've shared each speaker's profile and the full schedule in the order of when each person is going live on the Instagram page, so go read up and plan out your day and the sessions you'd like to watch. I've been watching Wendy Macnaughton and Olivers Jeffers' live sessions every night, and it's already giving my nights so much more meaning.
Here's the full schedule:
