Since it's about food, I could not help but share this. It was during lockdown that everything changed. Please let me know how if you like this.

Mushroom Stew

Caressed by the sun

Witnessed by the moon

* gas on *

Throw in some mushrooms

peel few stories

scrape few scares

find the root

pull the stem

soak few beans

strain some scenes

mash in some mystery

mix up some magic

Season it with salt

water as required

Keep the flame low

let it simmer

don't let it stick to the bottom

make a slurry to thicken it up

garnish with fresh greens and coloured peppers

call people over, don't let them hover

share some stew, pour some words

comfort the blue, light the grey

Steal the light of the thunder

see the world - over and under

share the taste, fight the hunger.

I'm sorry I didn't read this earlier, Chirag, but I love this :) Would love to read any more food poems you might have? Maybe we can publish them on the journal?
